He may have made international history during the international break, but it looks like Lionel Messi is targeting a new venture once he packs in all that football.
That’s because the Paris Saint-Germain attacker has been spotted on a film set looking chummy with some actor buddies.
Here’s what Messi has been up to.
Messi is going to appear in the Argentine comedy drama ‘Los Protectores,’ a show about a group of football agents. It’ll be a cameo appearance in its second season, with the scene already completed in the last few days.
It was shot in Paris, where Messi now resides since signing with Paris Saint-Germain last summer, though we won’t be able to see it until 2023.
The show is displayed on Star+ which is distributed by Disney Media Networks Latin America, but it is not accessible for United Kingdom viewers.
Messi is already on our screens pretty frequently due to his many sponsorships. He is perhaps most well known in the space for appearing in Pepsi and adidas.
It’s helped the Argentine accumulate great worth and by August 2021 it was reported he was earning more than $100m a year. That included $33m from his endorsements, some of which are listed below.
Messi has made over $1.2bn in his career and is frequently ranked as one of the richest athletes in the world by Forbes. He was second only to MMA fighter Conor McGregor in their 2021 highest-paid athletes list.
