Rangers star Steven Davis has confirmed he’ll hold talks over his Ibrox future in the summer as the veteran midfielder insisted he wants to stay at the club beyond the end of his current contract.
Davis could become only the fifth player to appear in two European finals for Rangers when the Light Blues face Eintracht Frankfurt in tonight’s Europa League final, with the Northern Irish skipper focused on tonight and this weekend’s Scottish Cup final v Hearts.
The Rangers number 10 is one of several players out of contract in the summer with Allan McGregor, Leon Balogun and Connor Goldson also at the end of their deals, and Davis wants to get his hands on some silverware before talks over his future get underway.
“We’ve got two massive games to come,” Davis told Sky Sports.
“We’re just going to get the best and the most out of that, get our hands on two trophies by the end of the season and then we will have discussions.
“I’d love to be a part of this club moving forward, it’s a huge club. I’ve spent a lot of my career here, enjoyed every moment of it and hopefully there’s more to come.”

After appearing in the 2008 UEFA Cup final as Rangers lost to Zenit St Petersburg, Davis admits it is “incredible” to get another chance to represent his boyhood heroes in a European final.
With over 100,000 Rangers fans expected in Seville – and thousands more than the Gers’ 9,500 allocation inside the stadium – Davis is anticipating a fantastic atmosphere.
However, the veteran isn’t just there to make up the numbers and is determined to return to Glasgow with the trophy this time.
“Getting to a European final isn’t something that happens too often,” he added.
“I’ve had a long career and being in this position for the second time is an incredible feeling to be going again and playing on that stage.
“I think there will be a big buzz about the place, and everyone will try and do their best to try and win the game.
“It is an incredible achievement this far, but we have still got one more stage to go and we’re determined to lift that trophy.”
